Romance Reading Challenge 2009
No, I don't think I will kiss you, although you need kissing, badly. That's what's wrong with you. You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how.
Wow, a year ago I started the Romance Reading Challenge. And it's come to an end, so I definitely want to start the challenge up again for 2009. I hope you can join us!
Read on for the rules:
1. Now, "Romance" isn't limited to steamy Harlequin novels. There is a huge selection of books in this category such as contemporary romance, historical romance, romantic suspense and paranormal romance to name a few. As long as the story has romantic love between the two main characters your selection will fit this challenge. The novels do not need to have a happy ending either, there can also be unrequited love. Here's a few suggestions:

need more suggestions? search through barnes and nobles Romance Section online for ideas.
2. Choose at least 5 novels read them between Jan 1st though Dec 31st 2009. You can change your choices at any time. Crossovers between other challenges are fine.
3. Read them at your own pace in 2009 then come here and post the link to your review(s).
4. Link your "RRC" choices here with any of these graphics:
http://thebookworm07.blogspot.com/2008/11/romance-reading-challenge-2009.html

5. Ready? Please leave a comment to this post also if you are joining us, in case 'mr. linky' ever goes down.

Oh what an awesome challenge! I've a huge pile of paranormal romances to catch up on - I will be back with my link soon!
Thanks for hosting this challenge Naida :)
hey there! Just a note to let you know your Romance Reading Challenge has been featured on the National Romance Examiner page - http://romanceexaminer.com
Sounds like fun - I'm in! :)
I'm signed up with Mister Linky.
Sounds like a year for romance.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Of course Gone With the Wind will be my first choice as a die hard fan. :)
I'm joining, but do we have to pick our books ahead of time?
I think it's sort of funny that the romances don't have to have happy endings, when that is such a central definition of romance - otherwise it's a love story. But what the heck, these look like a group of fun books!
bookzombie: glad you are joining :)
cant wait to see your picks.
sally: wow! thanks, that is awesome!
mommablogsalot: great!
wisteria: i'm glad to see you are joining too :) i've been meaning to re-read GWTW.
i'll be on the lookout for other suggestions and post those too.
j.kaye: great :) no, you dont have to pick them ahead of time.
c.j.: yep, I think some of the best ones dont have happy endings.
I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to join this one, but I still think it's great that you're hosting it, Naida. This post alone made me realize that "romance" is a broader label than I tend to think it is.
I just posted mine at http://j-kaye-book-blog.blogspot.com/2008/11/new-challenge-romance-reading-challenge.html
I am so in! Thanks for hosting this a second year. :)
I've read 7 of those (I finished The Darkest Night last night)! Okay I want to do this one this year.
